Built to Spill are rescheduling their spring tour.

The band was set to hit the road this spring, but has had to postpone tour dates because "front man Doug Martsch recently underwent emergency surgery for a detached retina, and must rest before embarking on a tour," according to Livedaily.

The band were set to touring behind their April 11 release You in Reverse, which is the first album since the band's 18-month hiatus after their 2001 album Ancient Melodies of the Future.

All of their dates will be rescheduled, with the exception of their cancelled appearance at SXSW. They'll start of in Western Canada and pass through most of North America, including a stop at the Lollapalooza festival.

Here's where they'll be in Canada this summer:

June 9 - Calgary, AB - MacEwan Ballroom
June 10 - Edmonton, AB - Reds
June 12 - Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
