Foo Fighters Set For Acoustic Tour

Published: 2006-04-03
The Foo Fighters are planning a tour in support of their latest double album, In Your Honor, but don't expect a hard rock show, because the band is ready to show off their acoustic skills this time around.

"We're going to start rehearsing very soon," drummer Taylor Hawkins told Billboard.com. Hawkins says that rehearsals for the acoustic shows will start up after April 24, when he wraps up work with his side project, the Coattail Riders.

The Foo Fighters are planning to perform in Europe, with some dates for summer festivals already in the books, but no North American dates are set in stone as of yet.

For the acoustic dates, the Foos have enlisted the help of an auxiliary backing band, featuring multi-instrumentalist Petra Haden, pianist Rami Jaffee, and percussionist Drew Hester, all of who have either toured or performed with the band in the past.
