After years of court wrangling over the rights to music by her late husband Kurt Cobain's band Nirvana, Courtney Love is planning to sell her share.
Currently in London discussing her future plans for music and acting, Love was quoted in the Sunday Mirror as saying that she would sell, "25 percent of the catalog for quite a lot of money."
Nirvana has widely been regarded as one of the most influential groups of the nineties. The band was one of the pioneers of the Seattle grunge movement, alongside Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. Some of their more popular tunes include "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Lithium," and "Come As You Are."
After the suicide of her husband in 1994, Love and the remaining members of Nirvana (Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic) were embroiled in a constant tug of war over the rights to unreleased Nirvana material, such as the tune "You Know You're Right," which was the band's final studio recording.
Aside from being married to Cobain, Love is known for fronting for the band Hole, who called it quits in 2002. She has also had several film roles, appearing in movies such as The People vs. Larry Flynt, 200 Cigarettes, and Man on the Moon.
