Snow Patrol approach new album with 'Eyes Open'

Published: 2006-03-08
Snow Patrol's much anticipated new album Eyes Open will be hitting stores in May.

Though the band came together in 1994, not much was heard from the Irish rockers until their 2003 album Final Straw, which built a name for the band both in the UK and overseas.

Eyes Open is set for a May 1 worldwide release, except in North America, where fans will have to wait until May 9 to purchase the album. The debut single "You're All I Have" will be released on April 24. Canadian fans may be interested to hear that the new album will feature a duet with Canadian singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright, entitled "Set the Fire to the Third Bar."

Here's what else you'll find on Eyes Open :

"You're All I Have"
"Hands Open"
"Chasing Cars"
"Shut Your Eyes"
"Beginning To Get To Me"
"You Could Be Happy"
"Make This Go on Forever"
"Set the Fire to the Third Bar"
"Headlights"
"Open Your Eyes"
"Finish Line"

Fans can also purchase a special edition of the CD, which will feature DVD footage of the boys in the studio and performances from their Final Straw tour.

Currently the band is on a European tour but will be heading to North America for seven dates, including one at SXSW in Texas and one in Toronto at the Mod Club. Here are the details for the Toronto Show, but we warn you in advance that it's sold out.

March 30, Toronto, ON - The Mod Club
