The first round of artists have been announced for the Country Music Association's Music Festival.
The 35th annual show will take place from June 8-11 in downtown Nashville. Main, evening shows will be held in the Coliseum while smaller shows will take place in local clubs in the area.
Artists who have signed on so far include, Trace Adkins, Jessica Andrews, Steve Azar, The Bellamy Brothers, Lane Brody, Brooks & Dunn, Sonny Burgess, Terri Clark, Billy Currington, Linda Davis, Emerson Drive, Sara Evans, Jace Everett, The Fox Brothers, Andy Griggs, Susan Haynes, Hot Apple Pie, Con Hunley, Buddy Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Brice Long, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, the Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley, Danielle Peck, LeAnn Rimes, Ray Scott, Blake Shelton, Keni Thomas, Carrie Underwood, Trent Willmon, Mark Wills, Darryl Worley, Chely Wright and Michelle Wright. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.
The festival will boast 70 hours of live music, 30 hours of autograph signings by artists and over 400 artists and 145,000 fans.
The country singers will play at the festival free of charge so that half of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to charities chosen by each artist.
