Canadian rocker Bryan Adams is one of the first Western musicians to play a show in Pakistan in decades after his show in Karachi on January 29.

Adams played to a crowd of 10 000 fans in a concert to help people affected by the country's terrible earthquake in October of last year. Tickets to the show sold for $58 - $83(US).

The earthquake killed tens of thousands of people and left millions homeless including many children. Adams told Reuters he was anxious to help, "We are going to raise a lot of money hopefully to help rebuild some schools in the areas that have been devastated."

Next Adams will be doing some shows in Qatar and India before heading to South Africa in March.

He is touring behind his greatest hits package Anthology which was released in October of last year.
