Yellowcard is celebrating the release of the much anticipated follow-up to its breakthrough album, Ocean's Avenue, with a trip to Toronto.

The band released the disc Lights and Sounds, its second on Capitol Records, on January 24th. The disc is a concept album that members of the band wrote after moving to Los Angeles and realizing that the Jacksonville, Florida, natives hated it there. It follows protagonist Holly Wood, who is lost in L.A.

To promote the new record, Yellowcard is heading to Toronto on January 30th and 31st and providing ample opportunity for fans to get in touch with the band.

On January 30th at 5:00 p.m. the band hits the nation's music station for Much on Demand and will perform a couple of songs for the Much Music crowd. Later that night Yellowcard plays an intimate show at the Mod Club. But if you weren't one of the first 100 people to pick up Lights and Sounds from HMV at 333 Yonge St. yesterday, you'll have to try and win tickets to the exclusive show through radio station 102.1FM the Edge.

On day two of the Yellowcard promo blitz in T.O., the band heads over to the HMV megastore for an autograph signing at 4:30 pm. Then they'll be doing an online chat on

Lights and Sounds is available in regular and special edition formats. The latter comes with a DVD that includes videos of the band's time recording, some behind-the-scenes footage from its first video, and live performances from the Phoenix Concert Hall in Toronto.
