If there weren't enough artists on the South By Southwest roster when I posted some of them last month I'm here to tell you the list is growing.
The annual music festival taking place in Austin, Texas and is up to a whopping 850+ bands for the musical part of the celebrations. Along with tons and tons of performances there will also be keynote speakers and panels discussing music.
This year Canadian musician Neil Young will be a keynote speaker at the event and a musical portrait of his life "Neil Young/ Heart of Gold" will be showcased during the film part of the festival.
But Young won't be the only Canadian to hit SxSW this year here are a list of the other Canucks headed down south for the festival: Duane Andrews, Bedouin Soundclash, Blood Meridian, Boy, Elliott Brood, Buck 65, Jason Collett, Cuff the Duke, Julie Doiron, Luke Doucet, Christine Fellows, Frog Eyes, Great Lake Swimmers, The Hidden Cameras, The High Dials, Immaculate Machines, Islands, Jacques and the Shakey Boys, Lindsay Jane, K'naan, K-os, Corb Lund, Carolyn Mark, Romi Mayes, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Metric, The Most Severe Republic Nadja, The New Pornographers, The Novaks, Novillero, Po' Girl, Radiogram, Sam Roberts Band, The Swollen Members, Leeroy Stagger, Tangiers, Ultimate Power Duo, Uncut, April Verch, You Say Party! We Say Die! And those are only the Canadians on the list!
From other countries there will also be We are Scientists, People in Planes, ADULT., Dashboard Confessional, Animal Collective and Arctic Monkeys to name a few.
