Brazilian U2 Fans Without Tickets

Published: 2006-01-18
Many U2 fans in Brazil were left disappointed and empty handed after waiting in line for tickets for hours outside a grocery store.

In S„o Paulo, Brazil, U2 fans were lined up for around 12 hours outside of a grocery store chain that was selling tickets. But when tickets were due to go on sale, the ticket machines broke down, disappointing many fans.

According to the BBC, "Some 73,000 tickets were on sale with a limit of 10 per person for the 20 February gig."

Organizers apologized for the mishap, and U2 will be playing another show in the venue to give a chance to those fans who weren't able to get tickets.

Hopefully, all ticket machines will be working the day those tickets go on sale.
