James Blunt and Kaiser Chiefs Lead the Brit Awards

New artists James Blunt and rock band Kaiser Chiefs have five nominations each for the 2006 Brit Awards, which will be held February 15 at London Earl's Court. Singer songwriter James Blunt is nominated for British male solo artist, British breakthrough act and pop act as well. His debut album, Back to Bedlam has scored a nomination for the British album award, while his single, "You're Beautiful" is up for the British single award.

The Kaiser Chiefs are up for the British group, breakthrough act, rock act and live act awards. Their debut album, Employment is also up for British album. Other nominees include Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Madonna, and Robbie Williams.

Coldplay, The Kaiser Chiefs, James Blunt, Kanye West, and Kelly Clarkson are set to perform at the event.
