Ben Harper Shows 'Both Sides' on New Double CD

Published: 2006-01-12
Singer-songwriter Ben Harper is releasing a brand new album in 2006.

The double album Both Sides of the Gun will stay true to the title and have two sides, or at least two discs. Like Nelly's Suit/Sweat records, Harper's new album will be divided so his harder stuff is on one disc and his softer tunes on the other.

The album will feature a grand total of 18 tracks, all of which the artist produced himself. On a few of them, he also played all the instruments. Harper debuted many of the songs on the new album when he was on the road in the last summer.

The pair of discs will be in stores on March 21st. Here's what will be on them:
Disc One
"Better Way"
"Both Sides of the Gun"
"Engraved Invitation"
"Black Rain"
"Gather 'Round the Stone"
"Please Don't Talk About Murder While I'm Eating"
"Get It Like You Like It"
"The Way You Found Me"
"Serve Your Soul"

Disc Two
"Morning Yearning"
"Waiting for You"
"Picture in a Frame"
"Never Leave Lonely Alone"
"Sweet Nothing Serenade"
"Reason to Mourn"
"More Than Sorry"
"Crying Won't Help You Now"
"Happy Everafter in Your Eyes"
