No More Special Needs

UK group Special Needs have split.

The band, consisting of guitarist Andrew Pearson, drummer Neil Allan, guitarist Daniel Shack, bassist Phil James and vocalist Zachery Stephenson have decided to call it quits.

If you've never heard of the band it's likely because they'd just finished their debut album which now has no plans to be released. But the band has released three singles in the UK "Sylvia", "Francesca" and "Blue Skies".

Pearson said in a statement to that the band "decided our heads had dropped so low and life was becoming rather an obstacle that we couldn't carry on." He added "There are so many reasons for this and this is only my version of why we have finished. There obviously were some problems within the band between members. That is not anything to do directly with why we have done this, and we will all be friends I'm sure."

But a bit of the band may still live on Pearson says, "The Sugababes might take one of our songs. Which would give an untold sense of satisfaction and feeling of those whelks in the sea getting some sort of Jacuzzi."
