We Are Scientists Bring On Some ŽLove and SqualorŪ

Published: 2005-12-23
New York-based rock three-piece, We are Scientists, have seen much love in the U.K. since delivering their freshman debut, Love and Squalor in October. Thus, they will be performing alongside the Arctic Monkeys and more on the ShockWaves NME Awards Tour.

We Are Scientists, who are originally from California, have released numerous EPs while they each worked part time. The band recorded Love and Squalor in about three weeks in January of 2005. Their sound sort of fits the modern day garage band mold. The more success they have overseas, the brighter the outlook for them in North America. "I guess it fits into that Strokes formula, where the buzz is created over there before here," says lead singer Keith Murray to Billboard.

Before the NME tour gets underway, you can catch We Are Scientists on the road starting Tuesday December 27 in Los Angeles through January 20 in Hoboken, N.J.
