Matchbox Twenty To Regroup By Year's End

Published: 2005-12-22
After nearly two years apart, pop rock sensations Matchbox Twenty will be regrouping by December 30, 2005 at the Joint in Las Vegas. According to guitarist Kyle Cook, the band would like to make a new album as well. "We're at a time when everybody is doing a lot of different music, but the opportunity
arose and Rob was available to do it, so we can get the machine fired up again," Cook told Billboard.

The band would also like to reinvent its sound and make it a bit edgier than previous efforts. There is no word yet when the group will even be hitting the studio. Rob Thomas will return to the road February 13 in Adelaide in support of his solo debut, Something To Be.
