Willie Nelson comes to Canada

Published: 2005-12-16
Outlaw country singer Willie Nelson is touring quite a bit in 2006 and he's heading to Canada's West coast this spring.

Nelson's got one more 2005 show playing a benefit concert in New Orleans on December 17 whose proceeds will go to buy instruments for musicians who lost it all in hurricane Katrina.

The iconic country star will pick up his tour again on January 20 in Nice, CA. Throughout the end of April and all of May he will be crossing the border to do a slew of shows in Canada hitting Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.

His last album Countryman was released in July, one of just dozens of albums the star has released since the 1960's.

Here's where he's headed in 2006:

April 27, London, ON - Ottawa Civic Center
April 29, West Peterborough, ON - Memorial Centre
May 2, Toronto, ON- Air Canada Centre
May 3, Montreal, QC- Bell Centre
May 5, Fredericton, NB - Aitken Centre
May 6, Moncton, NB - Moncton Coliseum Complex
May 7, Charlottetown, PEI - Civic Centre
May 9, St. John, NB - Harbour Station
May 10, Halifax, NS - Halifax Metro Centre
May 11, Sydney, NS - Centre 200
May 13, Corner Brook, NL - Pepsi Centre Canada
May 14, St. John's, NL - Mile One Stadium
