Audioslave Release New Single; Plan New Album

Published: 2005-12-13
Audioslave has just released the fourth single, from their Out Of Exile album and it is the album title track. The band's promise to put out a new album every year might be catching up to them, as the current single "Doesn't Remind Me" is still on Billboard's Modern Rock Singles chart.

For "Out Of Exile" though, lead singer Chris Cornell sought inspiration from the birth of his daughter. "The song is about me turning my life around with my child and my wife helping me."

As for the new album, the band has enlisted Brendan O'Brien, producer for both rock bands Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine, from which Audioslave is comprised of. "We've all worked with him before in our previous bands and we've already recorded a couple of songs with him for the new record and it was great," Cornell tells MTV News.

Expect a new album from the guys next year, as promised.
