Yellowcard Reschedules Tour Dates

Published: 2005-12-07
American pseudo-punk band Yellowcard has released a new set of dates in Europe to replace the ones it had to cancel this month due to an illness in the band.

"For the past month I've had something going on with my throat and I finally got a couple of days off and was able to see my doctor," lead singer Ryan Key says in a statement on the band's website. "Turns out I have what they call a nodule on my vocal chords. That's about the worst news you can get. If we don't take care of it now there is a serious risk of surgery which could put us out of commission for quite some time."

Tickets for the December shows will be refunded, and the band is assuring fans that those who bought tickets to the December dates will have first dibs on the rescheduled March dates.

"I promise we are not doing this just to get some time off," Key says. "The shows were sold out and you don't even know how excited we were when we got that news. Please forgive us and we hope to see you all in March."

Here are the new dates:

March 1, Bristol, England - Academy
March 2, London, England - Astoria
March 4, Manchester, England - Academy
March 6, Newcastle, England - University
March 7, Glasgow, Scotland - Academy
March 9, Nottingham, England - Rock City
March 10, Birmingham, England - Academy
March 11, Norwich, England - UEA
