Buffalo Based Band Last Conservative To Open For Bon Jovi

Published: 2005-12-05
Buffalo based band Last Conservative has won XM Radio's "Have A Nice Gig" Contest, which means that they will be the opening act for Bon Jovi's Albany, NY show at the Pepsi Arena on December 12, 2005. "Bon Jovi is a great live band and we're psyched to be opening for them," says lead vocalist TJ Zindle. Plus, if that wasn't enough, the band is presently in the studio working on their follow up to their 2004 debut On To The Next One.

The band has also been nominated for the XM Radio Awards for Best Unsigned Band. The winner will be announced on December 5, 2005. "XM radio has been amazing to the Last Conservative and they are definitely responsible for widening the band's fan base," says bassist David Julian.

The band, from Buffalo NY, is well known for their live shows at local bar the Continental and other clubs in the area. With help from another well known Buffalo based artist---the Goo Goo Dolls' bassist Robby Takac will be lending a hand to produce their next album, which is shaping up to be a unbelievable one. Last Conservative is currently recording their album in Buffalo, NY at Takac's studio, where the Goo's recorded all of their early material. The album is set for release in spring of 2006. The band is also still very involved in the Music Is Art Tour, which helps to bring art and music back to high schools.
