Jack Johnson isn't your typical triple threat. Unlike J-Lo and Hilary Duff, Johnson is a musician, filmmaker, and surfer. The multi-talented performer is putting together the soundtrack for the new children's movie Curious George.
The story of the curious little monkey will be released to theatres in February and will star the voice of Will Ferrell as the Man in the Yellow Hat and Jack Johnson lending his songs to George himself. George is a silent monkey, so Johnson had to dig deep to express the monkey's emotions through song. "Every time he gets in trouble, it's because he's trying to do something really good, but he's just misguided," he told MTV.
Johnson has written 6 of the 12 songs on the album, including tracks like "The Sharing Song" and "The Three R's," which are typical children's songs, as well as tunes like "Wrong Turn," which sound a lot like Johnson's 'adult' tunes.
After the George soundtrack, Johnson will go on a short European tour in March. Unfortunately, he won't be working on a follow up to his album In Between Dreams for another couple of years.
