Chris Cornell is learning why you shouldn't mix business with your personal life. On November 28th Cornell filed suit in California superior court against his ex-manager which also happens to be his ex-wife.

Cornell, a former member of the 90s grunge group Soundgarden and currently the front man for Audioslave, is suing Susan J. Silver for more than $1 million (US). He claims, among other things, that Silver diverted money owed to himself and other members of Soundgarden.

He is also suing to get back some stuff of his currently in Silver's possession, which according to Billboard includes "two Grammy awards, various demo tapes, personal recordings, journals and music sheets."

Billboard says the suit also seeks to ban Silver from representing Soundgarden members, citing an "irreconcilable conflict of interest." Silver runs Atmosphere Artist Management.

Cornell was with Silver from 1990 to 2002 and with Soundgarden from 1987 to 1997.
