Britney in the News, on Broadway

Britney Spears, husband Kevin Federline, and their newborn baby son, Sean Preston will be gracing the cover of this week's People magazine. This happened after the fact that pictures were supposedly leaked onto the internet of the baby boy. This coincides with the release of her newest album, a remix collection called B in the Mix: The Remixes, which was released last week.

Britney Spears has been also busy on the relief front. The Spears Family Hurricane Relief Foundation will aid to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Britney Spears Foundation has already given grants to Habitat For Humanity and to East Baton Rouge to place up to 7,000 New Orleans students in their schools.

In other Spears news, besides being a stay at home mother for the time being, Britney has rumored to sign on to play the lead role in the musical, "Sweet Charity", on Broadway. The New York Post reported this on November 23 and if the aforementioned statement holds water, she would be replacing Christina Applegate in late January. Spears would play the role of Charity Hope Valentine, a brave, classy dancer, an apple that falls not too far from the tree.

If Spears is likely to join the show, it would move from the Al Hirshfeld Center to the more spacious Ford center, due to expectancy of larger crowds.
