Richard Ashcroft Goes It Alone

Published: 2005-11-22
Former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft is releasing his third solo album before heading on tour with some friends.

You may recognize Aschcroft's voice from the Verve hit "Bittersweet Symphony," but after the band's demise in 1999 he broke out on his own and will be releasing his third solo disc, Keys to the World, on January 23rd.

The first single off of the album, "Break the Night with Colour," will be released on January 9th.

This December he'll be opening up for his buddy Chris Martin and his band (maybe you've heard of them) in the UK. In the spring he'll rejoin Coldplay in North America.

Here's what you can expect on Keys to the World

01 Why Not Nothing?
02 Music Is Power
03 Break the Night with Colour
04 Words Just Get in the Way
05 Keys to the World
06 Sweet Brother Malcolm
07 Cry Til the Morning
08 Why Do Lovers?
09 Simple Song
10 World Keeps Turning
