Fall Out Boy and Babyface Collaborate

Published: 2005-11-18
Now that Fall Out Boy have proven that they can make a hit record with their breakthrough success Under the Cork Tree, they've asked the one and only Babyface to produce their next album. "He did the soundtrack to [the 2001 film version of] 'Josie and the Pussycats,' and it's amazing. So we're going to have him do it, and have someone who's really into heavy music engineer it," bassist Pete Wentz told MTV News. "We haven't confirmed him but we're looking to tap him for the job and we will be demoing a couple of songs with him for sure."

It is definitely an odd pairing since Babyface is noted to produce tracks for R&B artists including TLC, Mariah Carey, and Toni Braxton. The combo will definitely be an experience for both the veteran producer and the band, as the collabo is likely to go down in rock 'n' roll history.
