Fred Durst Looks Back on 'Bizkit's' Past

Published: 2005-11-17
If you are wondering what happened to Limp Bizkit, you are not alone. Fred Durst, lead singer and frontman of the nu-metal band have actually been quite busy (behind the scenes) so to speak. In the past year the band has released a new album ( The Unquestionable Truth, Part I) and a greatest hits collection, but the band itself has been invisible to the public eye.

Durst tells MTV News that he doesn't regret a thing. "I'm grateful for everything, and if I could do it all again I'd do it. The mistakes we've been able to make, or I've been able to make, have all been blessings for me because I got to make some of the greatest mistakes and I love that because it's helped me grow. So I guess this Greatest Hitz record is just a tribute to what that was all about."

Greatest Hitz contains three new songs along with the 14 of the most popular tunes of Bizkit's career. Don't expect a tour from these guys anytime soon, as the band is still plugging away at a new studio album. "Touring is difficult when everybody's heads aren't in the same place. As much as I want to go out and tour every single day and I'm ready to rip it right now, there's five people in the band, there's five people who've evolved and grown and there's five people who have to get on the same page and want the same things, and it takes a lot to tour."
