Whitey Houston Stay Out On The Road

Published: 2005-11-16
Edmonton bass 'n' drums rawk duo Whitey Houston have been hitting the road heavy this year in support of their self-titled debut album. The twosome (a.k.a. bassist/vocalist Lyle "Whitey" Bell and drummer Rob "Gravy" Hoffart) performed at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, TX and our own North By Northeast earlier in the year, toured nationally with Illuminati and From Fiction, opened an East Coast jaunt for C'Mon and have just wrapped up Exclaim magazine's "Four For Fall" tour with Luke Doucet, Fembots and the excellently titled Shout Out Out Out Out.

Time, then, for a well-deserved rest, no? Well, no. The band have some more shows lined up for this month, which will find them hitting the prairie highways with Montreal rockers Priestess.

The band also announced recently that they have just been added to the Agency Group's roster of artists, signed a management deal with Six Shooter Management and hired a publicist, so expect to hear more from these hard rockin' fellas soon. Whitey Houston's album is out on Rectangle Records/Indiestructible, and is being distributed by MapleMusic/Universal.

Whitey Houston w/Priestess tour dates are:

November 19, Saskatoon, SK - Amigo's
November 22, Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards
November 24, Calgary, AB - Underground
November 25, Edmonton, AB - Victory Lounge
