Rolling Stones Set To Release Even Bigger Bang

Published: 2005-11-16
For those of you Stones fans who've already picked up the band's latest album, A Bigger Bang, here's some happy news - the band have announced that they will be re-releasing the album in special edition form next week (November 22).

The expanded version will include many extras for fans who haven't yet picked up the album or who are looking for a desperation Christmas gift for that hard to buy for relative (i.e. their dad). The newly added features will be included on a bonus DVD and will comprise an electronic press kit (handy), the videos for "Rough Justice" and the Ottawa-shot "Streets of Love", a "Heavy Disco Vocal Remix" of "Rain Fall Down", two unreleased songs ("Don't Wanna Go Home" and "Under The Radar"), interviews with each band member, lyrics and a photo gallery. There, aren't you glad you shelled out 20 bucks for the other version last month?

Next week will also mark the release of Rarities 1971-2003, a collection of hard-to-find Stones numbers put together in collaboration with the good people/corporate giants over at Starbucks. Meanwhile, the Stones world tour continues apace with gigs booked well into 2006, including a January show in Montreal.

Great stuff to see the greatest rock band strutting their stuff, and they could even bring it to New Zealand! We really need "quality" rock down under!
Our family (including 2 teenage sons) watched the Top 10 Rolling Stones video clips on TV recently and were amazed. I of course being a 60's child thought it was just awesome. From "Streets of Love" to one of their best "Angie" (came in at No 1), the boys like "Paint it Black" but that was not mentioned. I was patiently waiting for....."Waiting on a Friend" but this video/song obviously didn't meet the critics requirements - don't know! Anyway, before I pass onto another life and before the Stones do - I would love to see them perform here in NZ.
