As the search for the next Canadian Idol begins, members of the freshman class from CI have proven that not just the winner can score a deal. The latest member of the original eleven to sign a deal is the man who came in third Billy Klippert. The Calgary native is seeing Orange these days. Klippert signed with the indie label Orange Records. Klippert is in the studio putting together his debut CD which should be out in May.
Klippert is not the first of the runner ups to score a deal; Gary Beals and Audrey De Montigny have also been heard on the airwaves. And of course Canadian Idol winner Ryan Malcolm has released an album of his own "Home".
