Rare Dylan Downloads Available

Published: 2005-11-14
After the release of the Martin Scorcese documentary No Direction Home, a whole new generation has opened its eyes and ears to Bob Dylan. So now Dylan is taking his music to this generation, offering some rare 60s recordings for download only.

The recordings will be made available through legal download services starting today. The tracks include the Big Joe Turner cover "Baby Please Don't Go," recorded April 25th, 1962 in sessions for The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, "Mr. Tambourine Man," recorded at the Newport Folk Festival in 1964, where Dylan "went electric," making one of his first performances using electric instruments that many of his hard core folk fans objected to, and "Outlaw Blues," recorded January 16th, 1965 during the Bringing it All Back Home sessions.

Dylan will be starting a sold out UK tour later this week.
