Il Divo Tours 'Ancora'

Published: 2005-11-10
Basically a high-class boy band, the operatic quartet Il Divo has won fans with a combination of talent and clean-cut good looks.

Like their more poppy counterparts, the four boys, Frenchman Sebastien Izambard, Swiss Urs Buhler, Spaniard Carlos Marin, and all-American David Miller, were brought together by an outside mastermind, in this case by the blunt American Idol judge Simon Cowell. And after a career-changing appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the group has become a household name.

The band's self-titled debut, including renditions of Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart" and Frank Sinatra's "My Way" as leading singles, rocketed up the charts.

Il Divo will hit the road in the new year to promote its new album, Ancora, which is due out on January 24th.

So if you want to hear some opera-ish music sung by some boys who aren't so hard on the eyes, here's where you can catch them:

February 6, Toronto, ON - Air Canada Centre
February 8, Montreal, QC - Bell Centre
