Firewater the Last for Tha Liks

Published: 2005-11-10
West Coast rappers Tha Liks, short for Tha Alkaholiks, are about to release their fifth and final CD.

Firewater is due out in January, and group member E-Swift says the group put its all into it. "Knowing Firewater was going to be our last album made us very, very focused. We knew there was never going to be a second chance, and we owed it to our fans to put everything we could into it, right here, right now."

Three of the songs from the album are available for download on different places on the Internet. "Chaos" can be found on the group's myspace site, "The Flute Song (LaLaLa)" can be found on record label Waxploitation's site, and Tha Liks' official website will be hosting the tune "Get Into It."

Tha Liks have been making hip hop since the early 1990s and insist that their split is amicable. But they won't be officially done until they tour next year.
