Kenny Rogers to Spread Holiday Cheer

Published: 2005-10-31
Country mainstay Kenny Rogers is on the road and will stay there throughout the Christmas season and on through 2006.

Rogers has been on the country music scene since the 1950s and is responsible for hits like "The Gambler," "Through the Years," and the duet "Christmas to Remember" with Dolly Parton.

The country veteran will be doing some headlining dates at the beginning of November. Then, starting November 26th right through the Christmas season, he will be on a holiday tour called "Kenny Rogers and Friends Celebrate the Season." The friends he's taking on tour are fellow country stars Rebecca Lynn Howard and Billy Dean.

Then Rogers will be taking off the Christmas season before picking up touring again in Greenville, TN, on January 27th. Dates are scheduled throughout the United States up until September 2006.

Rogers will be releasing a new single "I Can't Unlove You" in January to be on his new album that will arrive in March or April of 2006. His last album, Back to the Well, was released in 2003.

So far he's only got one Canadian date on his massive itinerary. It's in November, and it's not where you'd expect:

November 19, Mississauga, ON - Living Arts Centre
