It Takes Two to Fill Stern's Shoes

Both rock star David Lee Roth and comedian Adam Carolla will be splitting the duty of taking over Howard Stern's traditional radio gig when he makes the move over to satellite radio.

Howard Stern's radio show currently broadcasts on twenty seven different stations, but recently the deejay announced he will be moving his show over to satellite radio, where he will be allowed more freedom to do what he does best: shock people with utter stupidity.

Weeks ago Stern mentioned the fact that Roth might be taking his place at the radio station and mused that when he was a young deejay, he'd never expected that a rock star like Roth would be vying for his job. He said it was definitely a step down for the former Van Halen frontman.

David Lee Roth is best known for being the lead singer of Van Halen from 1978 until 1985. He will be starting his new gig as morning radio deejay on January 3rd and will be broadcast in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Cleveland, and West Palm Beach.

Adam Carolla is a comedian best known for his show on Comedy Central, the Man Show. His new radio show will cover San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.

Howard Stern's last day will be December 27th, and best of shows will run during the holiday season until the new shows begin.
