With the much anticipated Johnny Cash biopic I Walk The Line due in theatres November 18, CBS has put together a special tribute show to the country legend which will air two days before the film's premiere.

Big name musical guests already signed up for the special include U2, Norah Jones, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Introducing each performance will be the stars of I Walk The Line, Joaquin Phoenix (who portrays Cash in the film), Reese Witherspoon (June Carter Cash) and Dennis Quaid.

As might be expected, the special, entitled "I Walk The Line: A Night For Johnny Cash", will also be heavy on performances by Cash's country music colleagues, including Kris Kristofferson, Dwight Yoakam, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride and Alison Krauss. Also performing will be Shooter Jennings, the son of country legend Waylon, who portrays his own father in the upcoming movie.

It is not known which songs each artist will be performing but the show's producers have promised that the show will feature such Cash classics as "I Walk The Line", "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Sunday Morning Coming Down" (written by Kristofferson).

"I Walk The Line: A Night For Johnny Cash" will air November 16 on CBS.
