Static-X Declare War On North America

Published: 2005-10-20
Industrial rockers Static-X have announced a North American tour for November and December in support of their latest album, Start A War. This will mark the band's second outing this year in support of the record, released last June.

Returning to the Static-X fold is former guitarist Koichi Fukuda, who replaces his own one-time replacement Tripp Eisen. Eisen was booted from the band earlier this year after being arrested in connection with his unfortunate predilection for seducing underage girls.

Opening duties for the tour will fall upon New Jersey metalers Ill Nino, currently promoting their third album, One Nation Underground, and newcomers Opiate For The Masses, whose debut The Spore was released in April.

"Both bands are friends of ours and [crazy] live bands," said Static-X singer Wayne Static in an online message to fans, "so this is gonna be an entire night you won't want to miss."

Canadian fans can catch the triple bill at these two shows:

November 16, Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
December 3, Toronto, ON - The Phoenix Concert Theatre
