The Mark Inside To Rock Ontario Right

Published: 2005-10-18
Toronto-by-way-of-Whitby rockers The Mark Inside will be back out doing what they do best this fall (and winter). What might that be, you ask? Why, rocking the people that want to be rocked, that's what! The boys will be going out 'round Ontario selling their MapleMusic debut, Static/Crash, the only way they know how - by virtue of their sweat-flyin', not-to-be-missed live show.

Recorded in stop-start fashion over the course of four years with ex-Carnation and current Ladies & Gentlemen frontman Thom D'Arcy, Static/Crash is a fine and hearty mix of White Stripes-like blues-rawk ("Sweet Little Sister") and sinewy indie rockers ("Coming Back Under Attack") that the band originally released independently. It soon caught the ears of the supportive cats at Maple, however, and the album was given the re-release treatment this June to favourable reviews.

If you live in Ontario, you can catch The Mark Inside servin' it up at the following shows:

October 30, Chatham, ON - Twister's
October 31, Hamilton, ON - The Underground
November 8, Barrie, ON - TBA
November 12, London, ON - The Embassy
November 15, Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
November 18, Windsor, ON - Phog Lounge
November 24, Ottawa, ON - Zaphod's
November 25, Sault Ste. Marie, ON - Downbeat Lounge
November 26, Sudbury, ON - Townehouse Tavern
