B.B. King Tours Western Canada, Plans To Live Forever

Published: 2005-10-14
Despite recently celebrating his 80th birthday, blues legend B.B. King has announced an extended North American tour that will run through January 2006. Not content to retire to Florida and brush up on his shuffleboard skills, King will instead be heading 'round the continent in support of his recently released B.B. King & Friends: 80 duets album.

Guests on the album include old friend Eric Clapton on "The Thrill Is Gone", along with appearances by Elton John, Van Morrison and The Who's Roger Daltrey, as well as Sheryl Crow, John Mayer and, uh, Gloria Estefan.

As part of his upcoming tour, the tireless bluesman will make his way to a number of Western Canadian cities. Bring your birthday cards and best wishes to the following venues:

October 24, Saskatoon, SK - Centennial Auditorium & Convention Centre
October 25, Regina, SK - Centre of the Arts
October 26, Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Jubilee
October 27, Calgary, AB - Calgary Jubilee
