Depeche Mode Add Montreal Date To North American Tour

Depeche Mode have added a third Canadian date to their upcoming North American tour; joining Vancouver and Toronto on the band's itinerary will be a stop in Montreal on December 4. The band will be promoting their first new album in four years, Playing The Angel, which will be released next Tuesday.

The band (featuring singer Dave Gahan, songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Martin Gore and other guy Andrew Fletcher) will begin their tour in New York City, first with a rare in-store appearance on October 18 at the Tower Records store at 4th and Broadway, during which the band will sign copies of their new record while causing general pandemonium in midtown Manhattan. Then, the trio will perform a small club gig for contest winners only as warm-up for their impending stadium tour. Contest details will be announced shortly at the band's official website (

The tour begins in earnest on November 2 in Sunrise, FL and will continue until December 9. Tickets for the group's Vancouver show are already on sale, with tix for Montreal and Toronto due to go on sale October 17.
