San Francisco-based jam band ALO (a.k.a. Animal Liberation Orchestra) have signed a record deal with Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records and, to commemorate the occasion, have announced a headlining tour of North American clubs and theatres.

"I always thought this band would be huge if they got in front of the right audience," said Johnson, referring to ALO's successful stint opening for the laid-back singer/songwriter on his recent summer tour. Johnson plans to issue the band's Fly Between Walls CD (upon which Johnson appears as guest vocalist) in wide release between now and the start of next year.

ALO's upcoming tour will begin in Sacramento today and run until the end of November, including a stop at the Vegoose Festival in Las Vegas over Halloween weekend.

Their lone Canadian date is as follows:

October 19, Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards
