Ozzy Covers Old Territory with New Album

Published: 2005-10-06
Eighties rocker Rod Stewart is making a killing on his American Songbook albums, where he covers American classics, and swing king Paul Anka has recently released Rock Swings, an album of rock songs remixed as swing tunes. So it may not be so surprising that prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne is going to release a record singing some songs that aren't his.

Osbourne is coming out on November 1st with Under Cover, where he'll be covering songs like John Lennon's "Woman" and the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil." The CD will be released as a Dual Disc, including some performances, featurettes, and other DVD type stuff.

Previously, ten of the tunes on the album were released on the Under Covers disc of his box set, Prince of Darkness.

Here are Ozzy's cover tunes:

"Rocky Mountain Way"
"In My Life"
"Mississippi Queen"
"Go Now"
"21st Century Schizoid Man"
"All the Young Dudes"
"For What It's Worth"
"Good Times"
"Sunshine of Your Love"
"Working Class Hero"
"Sympathy for the Devil"
