Richie Hawtin Releasing New Album, Touring
Canadian techno musician Richie Hawtin, known as an influential part of Detroit techno in the 1990s, will be hitting the road this fall in support of his new album, Transitions.
The disc, due out November 1st, plays not like twenty-eight separate tracks but rather like one long piece of music with transitions between twenty eight sections.

Transitions will also come, as much new music does, with a DVD holding a mini-movie on the making of the CD and some live footage. The album includes stereo, 5.1 surround, and high quality MP3 formats so that you can listen to it on any system you like.
Hawtin will also be going on a tour in the fall that's kind of all over the place, hitting everywhere from Buenos Aires and Chicago to Amsterdam and Glasgow.
