The remaining members of the pioneering punk rock band the Germs are getting together for a few concert dates this fall.

Guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Lorna Doom, and drummer Don Bolles are hitting the road with actor Shane West taking the lead.

West played the Germs' late lead singer, Darby Crash, in the upcoming Germs movie, What We Do Is Secret. West is also in a band called Jonny Was. That group did a song for the soundtrack of A Walk to Remember and starred in the movie. All three remaining Germs members were on set to help make the movie authentic, and after seeing West play with the 'fake' Germs, they asked him to play with the real ones.

The Germs' first gig in almost 25 years will be on October 29th at Los Angeles' Grand Olympic Ballroom. Other punksters Suicidal Tendencies, the Dead Kennedys, and Marky Ramone will also be at the venue that they all frequented in the 70s and 80s.

The new Germs are said to be doing shows throughout North America in the coming months, but the only other definite dates booked so far are November 4th and 5th at Riot Fest in Chicago and November 25th in Anaheim, according to
