Take That 'Back for Good'?

Published: 2005-09-23
With the reunification of the Backstreet Boys earlier this year, I guess 90s-era boy bands think they're back in style. Taking a cue from its American counterpart, UK boy band sensation Take That is releasing new material, though without reuniting just yet.

In case you don't remember Take That, or if you get it confused with 5ive or BBMak, they're five boys from Manchester who were the first band since the Beatles to have four consecutive number one hits in the UK. Put together in 1990 by a talent scout, the boys released four albums and a greatest hits package. Though mostly popular in the UK, they scored a North American hit with "Back for Good" before bad boy Robbie Williams decided to leave the band in 1995 to pursue a more successful solo career.

Take That's new compilation album will be released in November along with a TV documentary talking to all five members; Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Robbie Williams.

If their new album succeeds I'm sure we'll be hearing from the Spice Girls very soon.
