Alternative country band Okkervil River is ready to head out on the road for a pretty extensive tour.
The band, formed in 1998 in Austin, Texas, takes its name from a short story by a Russian author and is actually a river in St. Petersburg.
They won't be going to Russia on tour, but they will be travelling Europe for the rest of September and until October 15th. Not taking any time off, Okkervil River will begin touring North America on October 19th. They're on the road in support of their new album Black Sheep Boy, which was released in April.
You can catch them on these dates:
October 27, Vancouver, BC - Media Club
November 7, Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
November 8, Montreal, QC - La Salsa Rossa
