Blink 182 Podcast from Mark Hoppus

Published: 2005-09-19
If you were saddened by the news that comical punk pop band Blink-182 went on 'indefinite hiatus' in February, no worries, the members of Blink may not be together but that doesn't mean they're not keeping busy.

No doubt you've already seen tattooed drummer, Travis Barker's new reality TV show Meet the Barkers so I won't tell you about it again.

Mark Hoppus has just started his own reality wonder via podcast called "Hi My Name is Mark". Every two weeks the former Blink singer/guitarist will let you know what's on his mind and on his ipod. According to his site the podcast, "will consist of all things rad. bands you haven't heard of, bands you have heard of, and bands i haven't heard of. and maybe, if we are all very lucky, bands i have heard of. i'm going to use this as an excuse to discuss things important (and unimportant) to me and my friends."

You can find it on or on iTunes.

Along with being podcasters and reality TV stars, Mark and Travis are going to continue to be musicians. Mark and Travis along with singer Carol Heller from Get the Girl have formed a new group +44 (that's plus forty four). Named for the international dialing code for the UK where the idea was put together the trio already begun recording this month.

The official website for the band has no information as of yet but says, "Musical masterpiece in progress, please be patient."

Last but not least Tome DeLonge will also be starting a new group, Angels and Airwaves.

But if you miss the boys together their greatest hits package will be out November 1.

Mark totally rules. I can't wait to hear his second 'podcast extravagnaza'. It shall be very funny, no doubt. Go Tom for making your new band.

I dont know what to think about the break of blink. I think Tom should be more careful when talking about mark and travis. I think he wanted to go a different route with music and he cant go as far as he wants with blink not even by the last albums standards. I miss them, long live Blink 182. The best band ever.
