Ear to the Ground Fest Relocates

Published: 2005-09-14
If you're looking for the Ear to the Ground Festival the venue has changed.

According to executive producer Craig Logue, " Due to insufficient funding, the Ear To The Ground Festival has been relocated from Exhibition Place to The Opera House, The Phoenix and various Broadview/Queen area venues."

Besides The Phoenix and The Opera House festivities will also be taking place at Degrassi House, Blue Moon and Eastern Front Gallery.

Though programming at the festival will have to be scaled back slightly acts such as Sleater-Kinney, The Organ, Republic of Safety, Saul Williams, Kid Koala, Rjd2, Andrew Bird, The Hidden Cameras and others are still slated to perform.

The Ear to the Ground Festival isn't just a music show but "a multi-disciplinary festival featuring music, film, art, theatre, dance and spoken word" according to their website.

The festival will be taking place from September 16 - 19 with a launch party on September 15 starting at 8:00 at Gladstone Hotel Ballroom featuring Lindsay Ferguson, A Northern Chorus, The Ghost Is Dancing and others.

If you've already bought tickets to the festival, no worries, they will still be accepted at the new venues.

There are still some tickets left to the festival, if you want them or want any more info check out their website at http://www.eartothegroundfest.com
