British Rockers Make Quick Record for Warchild

Although recording only began yesterday, the compilation album Help: A Day in the Life should be available for download sometime today (Sept 9).

Rockers from all over Britain were in studio yesterday to record brand new songs for the compilation album. A veritable who's who of British rockers are involved in the fundraiser, including Radiohead, Belle and Sebastian, Keane, Gorillaz, and Mercury Prize winners Antony and the Johnsons.

The tracks will be available for download on the website of War Child (, a charity that provides safety as well as health and educational services to children affected by war. The songs will also be available on a CD released by an independent record label, but not until September 26th.

The tracks will look a little something like this:
