Black Eyed Peas at Grey Cup

Published: 2005-09-09
Everyone with a ticket to the Grey Cup will be able to enjoy not only a quality sports match but also some phunky tunes. The Black Eyed Peas will be performing a few songs at the CFL's finals during the halftime.

The American hip hop group has a couple of multi-platinum albums under its belt: 2003's Elephunk, and Monkey Business which was released this past June.

Jully Black, who has been touring with the Peas, is slated to sing the national anthem, an appropriate role for her given that she's Canadian.

Some CFL fans are a little peeved at the league's decision to have the Peas at the game, as the halftime act at the game is usually Canadian. The Tragically Hip and Sam Roberts have played the Grey Cup in the past.

You can catch the Black Eyed Peas and a bunch of guys in helmets and tights at BC Place in Vancouver on November 27th.
