Boy Return From Japan, Hit Western Canada With Collective Soul

Published: 2005-09-08
Been wondering what stylish rockers Boy have been up to since their "Up In
This Town" video receded from the MuchMusic airwaves? Well, it seems the
lads have been busy taking their sweet sounds to the people, most notably at
a couple of recent shows in Japan. In mid-August, the band headed to the
land of the rising sun to play a couple of huge shows with Arcade Fire,
ex-Stone Roses singer Ian Brown and The Tears, the new band featuring
Bernard Butler and Brett Anderson of Suede. Not too shabby, no?

Since returning, Boy has played a few select Ontario dates but will soon hit
the road again with purpose, joining greying US rockers Collective Soul for
a series of dates in Western Canada, including several stops in smaller
towns off the regular beaten path. The tour starts September 28 in
Saskatoon, with Kamloops the final stop on October 8. A Boy-only Toronto gig
will get things started right on September 24. Here are the particulars:

September 24, Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
September 28, Saskatoon, SK - Saskatoon Credit Union Centre
September 29, Regina, SK - Brandt Centre
September 30, Edmonton, AB - Red's
October 2, Grande Prairie, AB - Crystal Centre
October 3, Lethbridge, AB - Enmax Centre
October 4, Calgary, AB - Outlaws
October 6, Prince George, BC - CN Centre
October 7, Abbotsford, BC - AG-REC Building
October 8, Kamloops, BC - Interior Savings Centre
