Kate Bush Album Released

Published: 2005-09-03
After twelve years of waiting Kate Bush fans will finally be getting a new record.

Entitled Aerial the album is said to be a double-disc set released on November 7 worldwide and a day later in the United States according to her record label EMI. But for those of you who can't wait that long, her first single, "King of the Mountain" drops on October 24.

The British singer/songwriter who isn't very well known on this side of the pond arrived on the music scene in the late 70's. She is best known for her experimental, electro-pop style. Her most influential albums The Dreaming and Hounds of Love were self-produced.

Despite the fact that she dropped out of the music scene in 1993 Kate's been cited as an influence for an eclectic mix of artists from Tori Amos to Bjork and a whole host of other individualistic singer/songwriters.

Even though Aerial will be Kate's eighth album she has only ever embarked on one tour, in 1979. No word on whether she's decided to hit the road with this album.
