Fats Domino Missing...Now Found

Published: 2005-09-02
Rock 'n' roll legend Fats Domino has not been seen since hurricane Katrina ravaged his hometown of New Orleans this past week. According to his longtime agent Al Embry no one has been able to reach the singer since Saturday.

Considered one of Rock 'n' roll's pioneers, Fats Domino is known for his easygoing R & B style that was born out of New Orleans. His biggest hits included "Blueberry Hill," "Walking to New Orleans," and "Whole Lotta Loving." Hitting his career peak in the 1950s and 60s, he has largely been out of the spotlight in recent years. In 1986 he was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

The 77-year-old was born and raised in New Orleans and continues to live there. He was in his home with his wife and children when the hurricane hit.

After the posting of this news story today it was brought to our attention that Fats Domino is now found. His daughter, Karen Domino White, identified her father in a picture taken by a New Orleans Times-Picayune photographer. All other survivors, and lost people in this tragedy are still in our prayers.
